Mount Ararat (5,137 m) is the highest mountain in Türkiye and one of the most famous trekking peaks in the Middle East. This 4-day Mount Ararat trekking program is designed for climbers who want to reach the summit in a short and well-organized expedition.

The route is non-technical but requires good physical condition and determination. With the support of experienced local guides, porters, and organized camps, participants can focus on the climb and enjoy the unique volcanic landscapes of Eastern Türkiye.

Reaching the summit of Mount Ararat offers unforgettable panoramic views across Türkiye, Iran, and Armenia.

4 Days

Day 1 – Transfer to Mount Ararat & Trek to Base Camp (3,200 m)

After breakfast we drive to the starting point on Mount Ararat at approximately 2,200 meters. From here the trek begins towards Base Camp 1 at 3,200 meters.

The hike takes around 4–5 hours depending on the pace of the group. Horses transport the camping equipment and main luggage.

Upon arrival at the camp, our team prepares hot meals and drinks.

Overnight: Camp 1 (3,200 m)

Day 2 – Trek to Camp 2 (4,200 m)

After breakfast we continue trekking to Mount Ararat Second Camp at 4,200 meters.

The hike takes approximately 4–5 hours. This stage helps climbers adapt to the altitude while enjoying impressive views of the surrounding volcanic terrain.

Upon arrival at Camp 2, we set up tents and prepare for the summit attempt.

Overnight: Camp 2 (4,200 m)

Day 3 – Summit Day (5,137 m)

We wake up very early for the summit attempt. After a light breakfast we start climbing towards the summit of Mount Ararat (5,137 m).

Reaching the summit offers spectacular views over Eastern Türkiye, Iran, and Armenia.

After enjoying the summit, we descend back to Base Camp 1 at 3,200 meters.

Day 4 – Descent & Return to Doğubayazıt

After breakfast we descend from Camp 1 to the vehicle point at 2,200 meters.

From there we drive back to Doğubayazıt, where the expedition concludes.
