This unique 9-day trekking and climbing tour combines three of the most impressive volcanic landscapes of Eastern Türkiye: Mount Artos (3,550 m), Nemrut Crater, and Mount Ararat (5,137 m).

The program starts around Lake Van, where climbers first ascend Mount Artos and explore the spectacular Nemrut volcanic crater. After visiting historical and cultural sites such as Van Castle, Akdamar Island, Muradiye Waterfall, and Ishak Pasha Palace, the expedition continues toward the ultimate goal — the summit of Mount Ararat, the highest mountain in Türkiye.

With professional mountain guides, organized camps, porter and horse support, and full logistical assistance, this tour offers both high-altitude adventure and cultural exploration in Eastern Türkiye.

Day 1 – Arrival in Van

Arrival at Van Airport where our team will meet you and transfer you to your hotel in Van.

You will have time to rest and prepare for the upcoming trekking program.

Day 2 – Mount Artos Summit (3,550 m)

After breakfast we transfer to the starting point of Mount Artos (3,550 m).

The climb takes approximately 6–7 hours round trip. After reaching the summit we descend back to the vehicle point.

In the afternoon we visit Van Castle and Akdamar Island Church on Lake Van.

After the tour we transfer to Tatvan.

Day 3 – Nemrut Crater Trek & Transfer to Doğubayazıt

In the morning we hike around the spectacular Nemrut Crater, one of the largest volcanic craters in the world.

After exploring the crater and resting for lunch we begin the journey toward Doğubayazıt.

On the way we stop to visit Muradiye Waterfall.

Day 4 – Cultural Tour in Doğubayazıt

Today is a rest and cultural exploration day.

We visit the most famous historical sites of the region:

  • Ishak Pasha Palace

  • Noah’s Ark site

  • Meteor Crater near the Iranian border

In the evening you can enjoy a traditional Turkish bath (Hamam).

Day 5 – Trek to Mount Ararat Base Camp (3,200 m)

After breakfast we transfer by vehicle to Eli Village at 2,200 meters.

From here we begin trekking to Base Camp at 3,200 meters. Horses and mules carry the main equipment and luggage.

Overnight: Camp 1 (3,200 m)

 

Day 6 – Trek to Camp 2 (4,200 m)

After breakfast we continue trekking from Camp 1 (3,200 m) to Camp 2 at 4,200 meters.

This stage takes approximately 3–4 hours and allows climbers to acclimatize before summit day.

Day 7 – Mount Ararat Summit (5,137 m)

We wake up very early around 02:00 AM for the summit attempt.

After breakfast we begin the climb to the summit of Mount Ararat (5,137 m). The ascent takes approximately 6–7 hours.

After reaching the summit and enjoying the panoramic views, we descend back to Camp 2 for a short rest and continue down to Base Camp (3,200 m).

Day 8 – Descent & Return to Doğubayazıt

After breakfast we descend to the vehicle point at 2,200 meters.

From there we transfer back to Doğubayazıt.

Day 9 – Departure

After breakfast we transfer to Van Airport for your departure flight.
